I am an educator with 37 years experience as an elementary classroom teacher, elementary and middle school librarian, and a digital learning specialist. Statistics show that school library lessons can increase test scores. Librarians are required to maintain a full schedule of classroom visits therefore providing information literacy lessons, reading appreciation, author visits, etc. as well as maintain an updated collection of books, databases, and audio-visual materials. In order to facilitate these tasks, administrative duties which include ordering new books and equipment and weeding outdated materials must be accomplished in a timely manner. Because of the demanding schedules to accommodate student visits, librarians as a whole lack the time to take care of these administrative tasks. I am currently available to help overworked librarians gain control of the library environment by organizing and prioritizing unused equipment, files, and just plain, unneeded stuff.
